1200HS & 1200OA Whole Home Vent Duct Air Cleaner

BIGGER Capacity For BIGGER Applications with 1200 CFM. In 1999 the manufacturer introduced the versatile HEPA Model 1200HS indoor air filtration series. Since that time, not only has the great G.E. PLUS technology been added to the line (GE ECM Variable Speed motor), now the units come in two ducting configurations. In the original 1200HS-S (1200 CFM HEPA SYSTEM STRAIGHT) Straight through ducting in which the unit is horizontal, the air enters from the left side and exits out the right. We now proudly introduce the new 1200HS-L (1200 CFM HEPA SYSTEM L PATTERN) model in which the unit sits in either the upright or horizontal position and the air follows the traditional L-pattern in which it enters from the one end, makes a 90 degree turn, and exits from the side. The 1200 series whole house indoor air purifiers system can also be configured for purposes of gas and odor adsorption in the 1200OA (1200 CFM Odor Adsorber). The availability to all these basic lines of the PLUS technology, and further permutations within the PLUS models makes the 1200 SERIES indoor air purifiers units our most versatile.

The above sizing chart is a guideline only.

Although there is no exact sizing formula for HEPA filters, you should keep a couple of points in mind.

• Generally speaking, the more air changes per hour (ACH) you can have, the more effective a HEPA filter can be.
• There are no guidelines as to how many ACH you should provide, but as a rule of thumb, 1 ACH provides excellent air cleaning results. However, you can also get very good results at .5 ACH depending on your preferences, house, etc. As a matter of fact, a HEPA filter performing at .5 ACH will produce better results than most other air cleaning devices on the market. This is important to know because often budget plays an important role when purchasing a HEPA filter.
• People with sensitivities (allergies/asthma) may require an ACH of 2 or higher

1200 Series Whole Home Air Cleaner

• HEPA 1200HS-"S" PLUS HVAC or VCU (stand-alone) VS: This is a straight-through air flow design (one-piece) unit with a capacity of 1200CFM. It has the GE ECM Variable Speed motor. Contains one (1) Polyester Ring-Panel prefilter; one or two 15 lb carbon air filters; and one (1) 99.97% True HEPA air filter. Pressure Gauge to measure air filter drop. VCU unit has variable speed control knobs for standalone operation OR Wired Remote.
• HEPA 1200HS-"L" PLUS HVAC or VCU (stand-alone) VS: This is a two-piece unit, designed like the 600HS unit. It has a capacity of 1200 CFM. It has the GE ECM Variable Speed motor. Contains one (1) Polyester Ring-Panel prefilter; only one(1) 15 lb carbon air filter: and one (1) 99.97% True HEPA air filter. Pressure Gauge to measure air filter drop. VCU unit has variable speed control knobs for standalone operation OR Wired Remote.
• 1200OA PLUS  HVAC or VCU (stand-alone)("S"&"L"): The OA versions have the same air flow capacity of 1200 CFM. The 1200OA-"S" has no HEPA air filter and one 50 lb carbon canister in its place. It also can also have up to two 15 lb carbon air filters for a total of 80 lbs of carbon. The 1200OA-"L" has NO HEPA and one 50 lb canister. It has room for one additional 15 lb carbon air filter for a total of 65 lbs of carbon. Both units also have a prefilter. VCU unit has variable speed control knobs for standalone operation OR Wired Remote.

• 1200 "L" Configuration: Discharge is perpendicular to intake
• 1200 "S" Configuration: Discharge is collinear with intake

CEILING MOUNTED DESIGN The S Version is specifically designed to be mounted ABOVE or BELOW the ceiling. The S Version has 3/8 inch weld nuts located in the 4 corners of the unit for ease of suspension. ATTACH HVAC SYSTEM The S Version can also be attached to forced air HVAC systems in a partial by-pass configuration.

1200 Series Whole Home Air Cleaner Filter Replacements

• Prefilters Change once every 3 – 4 months (Pk of 6: $79.00)
• Carbon Change once every 9 months to 1 year ( 1 @ $169.00)
• HEPA Change once every 3 years or as indicated by pressure gauge ( 1 @ $379.00)

For commercial applications and heavy dust loading applications the recommended filter change is as follows:

• Prefilters Change once every 1 to 2 months or as often as needed (Pk of 6: $79.00)
• Carbon Change once every 4 – 6 months ( 1 @ $169.00)
• HEPA Change once every 18 months to 2 years or as indicated by pressure gauge ( 1 @ $379.00)
